At Box of India, we aim to deliver your orders as quickly and reliably as possible. Delivery timelines and charges depend on your location and the delivery method used.

Customers often choose to add a few extra items to their cart to reach the free delivery threshold, making their delivery more economical.

Auckland & Waikato (Van Delivery)

Order Processing

  • Orders placed before 5 PM are processed the same day.
  • Orders placed after 5 PM are processed the next working day.
  • Our warehouse does not process orders on Fridays.
  • Orders placed after 5 PM on Thursday, or anytime on Friday, will be processed on Saturday and delivered on Sunday.
  • Orders placed on public holidays will be processed on the next working day.

Delivery

Orders delivered through our local van delivery network are typically delivered the next day after processing.

Delivery Charges — Auckland

  • Free delivery on orders over $79 for shipments up to 14 kg.
  • Under $79, up to 14 kg: $7.99
  • Under $79, 14–28 kg: $12.99
  • Under $79, 28–42 kg: $15.99
  • Under $79, 42 kg and above: $19.99
  • Over $79, weight surcharge for 14–28 kg: $4.99
  • Over $79, weight surcharge for 28–42 kg: $9.99
  • Over $79, weight surcharge for 42 kg and above: $14.99

Delivery Charges — Waikato

  • Free delivery on orders over $99 for shipments up to 14 kg.
  • Under $99, up to 14 kg: $9.99
  • Under $99, 14–28 kg: $14.99
  • Under $99, 28–42 kg: $17.99
  • Under $99, 42 kg and above: $19.99
  • Over $99, weight surcharge for 14–28 kg: $4.99
  • Over $99, weight surcharge for 28–42 kg: $9.99
  • Over $99, weight surcharge for 42 kg and above: $14.99

Rest of North Island (Courier Delivery)

Order Processing

  • Courier orders are processed Monday to Thursday until 2 PM.
  • Orders placed before 2 PM Monday to Thursday are processed the same day.
  • Orders placed after 2 PM on Thursday, or anytime on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, will be processed on Monday.
  • Orders placed on public holidays will be processed on the next working day.

Delivery

  • Orders dispatched via courier are typically delivered the next working day after dispatch across most North Island locations.
  • Delivery schedules depend on NZ Post’s courier operations and route capacity. Rural postcodes may take longer depending on courier routes and regional delivery schedules.
  • Waiheke Island orders are delivered via courier and typically take 1–2 working days after dispatch, depending on courier schedules and ferry logistics.

  • Up to 20 kg: $12.99
  • 20–40 kg: $25.98
  • 40–60 kg: $38.97
  • 60–80 kg: $51.96
  • 80–100 kg: $64.95
  • Each additional 20 kg box: $12.99
  • Rural surcharge: An additional $5 per box applies for rural delivery addresses and all Waiheke Island deliveries.

South Island (Courier Delivery)

Order Processing

  • Courier orders are processed Monday to Thursday until 2 PM.
  • Orders placed before 2 PM Monday to Thursday are processed the same day.
  • Orders placed after 2 PM on Thursday, or anytime on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, will be processed on Monday.
  • Orders placed on public holidays will be processed on the next working day.

Delivery

  • Orders delivered to the South Island typically arrive within 3–5 working days after dispatch.
  • Delivery timelines depend on NZ Post’s courier operations and route capacity.

  • Up to 20 kg: $22.99
  • 20–40 kg: $45.98
  • 40–60 kg: $68.97
  • 60–80 kg: $91.96
  • 80–100 kg: $114.95
  • Each additional 20 kg box: $22.99
  • Rural surcharge: An additional $5 per box applies for rural delivery addresses.

Courier Delivery Performance

  • Courier deliveries are handled through NZ Post.
  • Delivery times depend on NZ Post’s courier network performance.
  • Approximately 90% of courier orders are delivered within the expected delivery timeframes, depending on courier network capacity, weather conditions, and rural delivery routes.

Order Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details so you can follow your delivery’s progress.

  • For van deliveries (Auckland, Waikato), tracking updates are shared by email.
  • For courier deliveries (Rest of North Island, South Island, Waiheke Island), tracking links are shared by email and can be used to track your parcel directly via the courier’s website.

If you have not received a tracking email within 1 working day of your expected dispatch date, please contact our support team.

Fresh & Frozen Items

For van deliveries, orders containing fresh produce or frozen items are packed immediately, and we do not call to confirm these items.

If your address is outside our van delivery network, courier services will be used.

For courier orders containing fresh or frozen items:

  • Our team will attempt to contact you via phone, WhatsApp, or email for up to 2 days after the order is placed.
  • This confirmation is required because courier transport can occasionally affect temperature-sensitive products.

If confirmation is not received:

  • Fresh or frozen items will be removed from the order.
  • Remaining dry items will be dispatched to avoid delays.

Delay in Order Processing

If changes are made to your order after confirmation, including product adjustments, address updates, or delivery instructions, the order may need to be reprocessed, which may impact the delivery timeline.

If your delivery is delayed, our support team will always do their best to assist and resolve the issue quickly.

Lost or Damaged Orders

We take great care in packing your order, but in rare cases issues may occur during transit.

If your order is damaged:

  • Please contact our support team within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damaged items and packaging.
  • We will review each case and arrange a replacement, refund, or store credit as appropriate. Please see our Refund Policy for details.

If your order is marked as delivered but not received:

  • Please check with household members, neighbours, and any safe drop locations first.
  • If your order still cannot be located, contact our support team within 48 hours of the tracking status showing “Delivered.”
  • We will investigate with the courier or delivery driver and work with you to resolve the issue.
